What if my shipper provides the wrong BOL?

At some point, your shipper is probably going to give the carrier the incorrect BOL.  This could occur because they had created their own and provided that instead of the one you sent them, or they handed off the wrong document entirely.  Either way, this will lead to billing problems.  The shipment will likely be billed to the shipping location at a much higher rate than you quoted them.

To avoid this, once you've discovered the incorrect document has been provided you should get in touch with customer support of particular carrier you've selected.  They should be able to advise on how to get this corrected, but if not, get in touch with us and we'll do our best to help out.
