Custom Reports

There's a new Reporting section within Quote Factory that will be the home for all future analytics and custom data exports. While the Lanes report hasn't changed, we have added an entirely new way to export data... so let's dive in and see how it works.

Data exports

On the Reporting page, you'll see all your available Data export reports in the right column. We've started you out with a couple default reports like All Shipments and Commissions.

Manage your report

At the top of each report you can...

1. change the report name
2. limit which users can edit this report
3. access additional actions such as duplicating and deleting

Filters

There are two main components to customizing your report. The first is Filtering. This works just like filtering on the Shipments page. Just select your options on the left and you'll see the results on the right. These results will be the data used in the export.

Columns

Once you have your filters set, click over to Columns where you can select, sort, and rename the columns that will be in your exported file.

After any change you make to the report (like adding a new filter or changing the sort order of the columns) you'll have the opportunity to save the report with these changes, or "save as new" to create a duplicate of the report.

Download

When you're done with the filters and selecting the columns you want, then you're ready to download the report as a CSV file. Just click the button and we'll start generating the report. Be patient, as large results could take several minutes to prepare your file.

This is just the beginning
