DAT

Load board

If you have a DAT subscription including Connexion (access to their API), then you can post your shipments to the DAT load board through Quote Factory.

  • The first time a user posts, we try to use their Quote Factory login email address as their DAT username. If that doesn't work, then we prompt them to enter their DAT username.
  • When a load is posted, it uses your contact info from your DAT account. If you want to change the contact info, update it in your DAT account.
  • If your DAT account is set to have carriers contact you via phone, but you prefer to have them contact you by email instead, you can change that in your DAT account or contact Support to have us override it when we post.
  • We don't send commodity descriptions or special instructions. We don't send anything in the load notes today.

Tankers

DAT has three equipment types for tanker trailers:

TA - Tanker, Aluminum
TN - Tanker, Intermodal
TS - Tanker, Steel

When you choose one of those specific types, we map it straight across. If you just choose Tanker , then we map it to TA - Tanker, Aluminum as the most common type. You can update it by editing the shipment to choose a more specific type.

RateView

If you have a DAT subscription including RateView, then you will see RateView carrier cost information when you're creating a truckload quote, when you're booking a truckload shipment and when you're covering a truckload shipment. It will be alongside your own history in the lane so you can compare and decide for yourself what cost to use as the basis of your customer price.

  • To view RateView lane cost information, you need a RateView Combo Pro or RateView Combo Premium subscription.
    • If you have a RateView Combo Basic subscription, you can see RateView information on the DAT website but not in Quote Factory.
    • If you don't have any RateView subscription, then you won't see RateView information in Quote Factory.
  • According to this FAQ, the rates are updated twice a day, at 5:06am and 5:06pm Central.
